Wet N’ Wild Coloricon Contouring Palettes Review!

Hey Makeup Lovies! ❤

I finally bring you a review on the Wet N’ Wild Coloricon Contouring Palettes! I have been wanting to do this review for SO LONG but I couldn’t get my hands on one of the palettes. I searched every single Walmart in my area and none ever had it. One of them (the one I already owned) was always there but the other wasn’t. And since this is an exclusive product to Walmart every time I needed to buy groceries or small necessities I would hit up Walmart in hopes of finding this palette. It wasn’t until this past weekend I went on a lovely date with my boyfriend and afterwards I told him let’s go to Walmart super quick since it was very close to the restaurant. This Walmart is probably like 20 some minutes away from my house so I rarely go unless I’m in the area. Well wouldn’t you know they had it IN STOCK! I was so happy!! lol They had sooooo many that I wanted to buy them all .. but for what? Lol, I just needed one 😛 But I guess when you’ve been searching for something for so long you just want to buy bunches of it lol?!

Anyways, enough of that! Here are the gorgeous contouring palettes. I have been obsessing over this product it’s ridiculous. I just love it so much!

L- Dulce De Leche R- Caramel Toffee

So at the moment there are 2 shades available. (Hopefully they make more colors perhaps with a shimmery highlight instead of matte!?) The palette to your left is Dulce De Leche and the one to your right is Caramel Toffee. As you can see the palettes contain 2 shades; a highlighting shade and a contouring shade. Both shades are matte absolutely no shimmers.

The palette is very thin which I love. It’s convenient and easy to store.

Here’s a size reference to my hand. It’s quite large so you can see you get tons of product! I also think it’s a big plus the way the palette is formed in which it’s easy to dig into with your brush as opposed to others such as Benefit’s Hoola Bronzer or the Anastasia Beverly Hills circular compacts.

Let’s get to swatching!

Caramel Toffee

Caramel Toffee has a pale buttercream highlight shade. Swatched on me it seriously looks like nothing. It blends right with my skin tone. It resembles the Anastasia Beverly Hills Vanilla shade from their contouring palette, which I totally ran out of that shade so I was glad that this one was a dupe for it!! The contouring shade is a nice light brown. I don’t know if this brown is considered a warm or cool shade!? What do you think? Anywho both shades are lovely ❤

Like I previously mentioned the highlighting shade blends right into my skin. I know the shade is supposed to be for highlighting the ares of the face but I use it to set my concealer lol. And let me tell you it’s FREAKING bomb! It doesn’t crease or anything. Plus the formula of these palettes are so buttery soft. They remind me of the Lorac eyeshadows. As for the contouring shade I do use it to contour and it’s magical. It’s so easy and foolproof. Oh and one thing I love about it is that it’s super duper pigmented. So don’t go overboard you only need to tap your brush ever so lightly onto the product and then tap off the excess and contour away. Of course the product is build-able but I don’t think you’ll need more than one brush swipe if that makes sense.

Dulce De Leche

Dulce De Leche has a yellow highlight shade. To me it kind of resembles the Anastasia Beverly Hills Banana shade from the contouring palette. I have that one and they look pretty similar maybe just the ABH one is a tad more yellow. The contouring shade is more of a warm brown. It’s very unique! I absolutely love this shade.

Again just like the Caramel Toffee Palette, Dulce De Leche has the same exact quality. The shades are buttery soft and they blend very easy. They are also very very pigmented. What I have found myself doing ever since I got my hands on both of them is I like to combine both of the highlight shades to set my concealer. Because the shade from Caramel Toffee is exactly the same shade as my skin tone the shade from Dulce De Leche is yellow so it helps to brighten up my under eye area. Win win! I also tried combining both of the contouring shades and they look very very good together! Like I said blending is very easy so no worries!

Caramel Toffee & Dulce De Leche Comparisons

At first glance they look very similar but very different right!? My overall thoughts are: these palettes are so worth it! They are ahhhmazing ❤ They are crazy affordable and the pigmentation is phenomenal. The quality of this product is just way up there with other high end brands. I’ve swatched the Kat Von D contouring shades when I was at my local Sephora and they feel super soft if not even softer than those. I can’t believe the price I swear this product belongs in like Sephora or something it’s just too good! I can’t rave about it anymore! I’m glad I finally was able to give you all a review on these products! I can at last share my holy grail contouring secret weapon lol.

This product is available exclusively at Walmart so go check it out and see if they have it in stock near you if not you can easily order it online. (I linked them in the beginning of the post) I should of done that in the beginning but I hate ordering powder items because I fear they will come broken lol. The price point of this product is $3.84!!! Insanely cheap! Plus in the local newspaper there is always a $1 off coupon for any Wet N’ Wild product so you’ll basically pay $2!

What are your thoughts!? Do you like this product!? Or do you think otherwise!? Do you already own it!? Thinking of purchasing it!? Which one is your favorite!? Least favorite!? Any Wet N’ Wild items you recommend!? Please share below!

As always hope you lovies had a wonderful day! 🙂

I have never seen these before! I have a contour kit that comes with two blush shades, and the highlighter is shimmery. I’ve been wanting one with a matte finish and this seems perfect. Definitely love the subtlety of the color in the dulce de leche palette. Thanks for this review. 🙂 I’m going out to find it soon lol

What the hell, why do I keep missing your posts?
Glad you got your hands on the Dulce De Leche palette. I think it’s so great that drugstores are now offering proper MATTE contour and highlight colours. I really really dislike the trend of people using bronzers as contours – ew orange streaks on the cheeks.
Good idea to use the highlighting powder of the Caramel Toffee for undereye!
I think I prefer the Dulce De Leche for me personally. I’ll have to see if they bring these to Canada!

Are they a powder texture or a cream texture?? It looks awesome and I really want to buy it, but I have to know if it’s a powder or cream contour palette so I can match it up with my foundation and concealer. Please reply someone, thank you! (:
