Hey Makeup Lovies! โค

Today I bring you a review on the It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer. My sleeping schedule has been out of sync for years now, yes I know that’s very bad but it is what it is.. slowly I’m improving this ๐Ÿ˜› Anyways, my under eyes are the ones suffering from sleepless nights so I need all the help I can get with makeup. Even after applying foundation, concealer and powder you can still see my crazy ‘ojeras’ that’s Spanish for eye bags but I’m exaggerating because I don’t have bags just a tad of under eye circles.

After trying soooo many concealers I finally realized the problem. I don’t need a different concealer but a color corrector.. duh! I’ll talk about my current color corrector that I’m using in the future for now let’s focus on this concealer. I blame YouTube for everything, after seeing Katy from Lustrelux use this product and seeing the drastic change in just using this product I WANTED it. While on a trip to Ulta I decided to finally give this a try. I had reeeeeally high hopes for it because seeing as it had great reviews and seeing the difference on Katy I just knew it had to work. So let’s get started!

It comes in a nice squeeze tube. I love wands better, less messy in my opinion.

It’s a decent size. 0.28 oz per tube.

Here’s the applicator. It’s a very narrow tube-y thing.

I got mine in the shade Light which is the lightest shade available. The next shade looked too dark for me.

And the ingredients.

The creamy, crease-proof formula glides on easily and lasts all day.”

This product retails for $24 and is available in 4 shades. You can find It Cosmetics at Ulta, QVC and the It Cosmetics Website. (Those are the places that I am aware of that sell It Cosmetics, if you know of any more please share below!)

Let’s talk about texture:

The formula is very thick and creamy. If you are familiar with M.A.C.’s Pro Longwear Concealer you know that one is pretty thick, well this one is even thicker! If you don’t like heavy or thick concealers then I’m afraid this one isn’t for you. Although thick, it is very very creamy. With that being said you only need a teeeeeeny tiny small drop. A little seriously goes a long way with this concealer. Try spreading it into a triangle shape with a small concealer brush. You could use your fingers but it’s very messy so I suggest you don’t.

Let’s talk aboutย blending:

This product does blend nicely and well. But it takes a while. At least in my opinion it does. I usually love a concealer that blends quickly but this one takes a bit longer I guess it has to do with the fact that it’s a very thick formula. After all the blending is done, the concealer remains looking wet. As in if you were to touch your concealer you would get makeup on your fingers. So you MUST set it or it will crease and just never stay put. I feel like it didn’t sink into the skin it just remained on top. Plus you could totally tell I was wearing concealer. It’s not subtle at all.

Overall Thoughts:

If you haven’t been able to tell, I don’t like this concealer. :/ I don’t mind a heavy concealer but this one just didn’t do it’s job. I found that it didn’t cover up my dark circles, mind you I don’t have them that extreme. So I can just imagine for those of you that do have extreme dark circles. I didn’t like that it never set. If I wasn’t to use a setting powder I think it would of remained tacky all day. Regardless of setting it I felt like it did crease ๐Ÿ˜ฆ And like I mentioned it does take a while at least to me to blend it. I tried blending it with different sponges and brushes. And I used it under and over foundation. Soooo this product went back. Didn’t find any use of keeping it if I didn’t like it!

Now here are swatches!

Here’s a drop of concealer.. this is the perfect amount for both eyes.

Semi blended

Completely blended

As you can see it’s still super noticeable.

And here’s a side by side comparison of me with and without it applied over foundation without setting powder.

Fotor_145672092497735

As you can see it does cover up which is great but for me it’s just not enough as it claims to do. I can still see the slight blue-ness peaking out especially when I have all my makeup done. If you only need very little coverage then perhaps this would work for you. Anywho, if you are curious in giving it a try then why not, you can always return it if it doesn’t work out.

I hope you lovies enjoyed this post! Have you tried this product!? If so share your thoughts below! Have you tried any It Cosmetics products!? Which is your favorite concealer or color corrector for the under eyes!?

Hope everyone is having a great day ๐Ÿ™‚

A thousand YES on the corrector! I’ve realized that myself! Can’t wait to hear what you’re using for correcting.
But yeah, this looks really heavy and obvious. I don’t like that for under eye area. It needs to be luminous but still has coverage. Did you blend it with the Quo sponge?! ๐Ÿ˜›
I’ve had this on my wish list but not sure if I want it now. :/

Funny thing is I’ve had that corrector for a while.. never really used it only on days where I needed to look awake but wanted to wear no makeup. Then all the hype of color correctors starting happening and I wanted one lol then I realized this one was a corrector! And a great shade for the under eye lol! Now I use it all the time !:D but yes the it cosmetics concealer is very heavy and in no way subtle. It’s the complete opposite of the urban decay one though ๐Ÿ˜‰ that one is the best of everything!! I wish I would of tired it with it! But I got this product a month ago and just now got to writing the review ๐Ÿ˜› but it’s a good thing! I wouldn’t want my beautiful quo sponge to get dirty with all that cakey concealer lol! ๐Ÿ˜Šehhhh I’d pass on it. It’s nothing special you already have awesome concealers to try anyways lol! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I started using the UD Naked concealer and I don’t love it! ๐Ÿ˜ฆ On its own it looks really dry on my skin. And it oxidizes like crazy! I have the shade light neutral and it looks orange and too dark by 10am. The ONLY way I can make it work is when I wear it over my Becca corrector. I’m testing different things with it to improve it for me. On its own, no bueno. I’ll do a review on it soon. Too bad!

I use the NYX dark circle concealer. It has the perfect peachy/salmon tone to cancel out the blue/purple of dark circles. I only apply it using a fluffy, angled concealer brush) where my dark circles are, then go in under my whole eye area with my NYX HD concealer.
